#100sareepact 35/100
As bright as the afternoon sun , this golden yellow summer silk print from Bengal with the horizontal colour coordinated stripes giving a Pavadai Davani effect . Stepping out for the Bombay Saree Pact Meet and super excited ! The texture and the colours beg to be worn with the string of pearls I rarely take out so out they come today. Have actually taken the rest of the day off from work after working from home all morning . This is how special the 100 Saree Pact is and I am so eager to meet my partners in crime from the city .
The Saree Pact has made such a difference in my life . Not only have I started to take my sarees more seriously , I have once again become conscious of being well dressed and enjoying draping my sarees . I do confess I had become a bit careless with my attire taking refuge behind my age saying oh! I can wear whatever I want what’s the need to impress anyone now ! But of course we all know that whatever we do we do for ourselves and no one is impacted more by what we do and think than ourselves !
And boy! Don’t I feel great these days .
More importantly nay, most importantly , the Saree Pact has opened this wondrous window into a world of women who I cannot believe I did not know earlier ! So much like me, we could be sisters . They have peopled my world with their stories , sarees and sensibilities … A brand new family I am greedy to know more about and catch up with . My dear friend and peer and mentor in Cancer Care Vandana Gupta of V Care had once introduced me at a Panel Discussion saying , ‘Meet Viji , who knows half the world and is dying to meet the other half ‘ .., am getting there Vandana with the 100sareepact !
