#100sareepact‬ Joan Guest and Kusum Rohra thank you for getting me out of my ennui. I was so sad to leave Namma Bengaluru two years ago that I decided I had to sulk, stay badly dressed, preferably in pajamas! somehow get through each day and then magically I will soon find myself in my own ooru! last year on one of the few occasions I was not in a grungy outfit I recklessly made a promise to myself that I would wear sarees once a week as the guilt of them lying unworn was overpowering my sadness of not being in Namma Bengaluru?.. this is the next time! ! So hats off to you Anju Maudgal Kadam and Ally. I have thoroughly enjoyed the sarees and the stories. Full majja ? while I have not forgotten the skill of saree wearing I have obviously yet to learn the art of selfies! Asked the eleven year old to take a long shot of the saree. He of course had to balance book burger and couple other sundry items to get a very good picture – of the light and dirty fan! Rather than be shamed into getting back into my pj’s I shall leave these pictures on and practice on selfies or catch the brat when both his hands are functional. A venkatagiri cotton for aunt’s birthday today in hot Mumbai. Very doable. 100 this year? No more recklessness…….this is a beginning. ..
