115/100
‪#‎100sareepact‬

Saree 115 is totally planned !
A bright vermillion and haldi yellow combination and the second of my wedding trousseau of five from Poompuhar in Delhi .
I wore this for the wedding day’s morning ceremonies before one changes into the 9 yard Madisar in which one is married off.
Except for some fraying in the jarigai in the Pallu this lovely saree too has retained its sheen and beauty .
Being Deepavali morning as well , i thought we would go to the Aiyyappa temple close by , Appa’s favourite in the neighbourhood . I am not a great temple goer , all my gods , my Universe , is in my little office but this morning somehow I had this great urge to go together to the temple before heading out to work .
Am so happy we did so . It was peaceful and quiet with a few others in their Diwali finery and with families . I asked Venky to apply the chandanam on my forehead . I love that cool , calming sensation when the fragrant paste is applied and I always make a mess of it never finding the centre smile emoticon
Soon we found another much younger couple doing the same and smiled happily to ourselves .
One Selfie toh hona hi tha but a sweet young girl seeing us do that offered to take one of us too .
Then of course I had to have the Pact Photograph taken right ? To match the one my brother had taken four decades and one year ago . And that was taken by Alakta at whose place we stopped by for a quick hug and hullo !!!
Azim would not let me go to work until some formal posed shots had been taken so you have lots to look at .
My favourites remain the one with the family as I stepped out of the house and the one with my Sahodari . The last breakfast as a maiden with the special girlfriend . Hullo Sindhu ! Remember ?
Thank you Bala for these precious pictures you put together in a beautiful album for me !
