Since childhood Maha Shoshtthi has been a day when we were asked to wear new clothes on compulsory basis.
I still remember my grandmother used to tell, a piece of new cloth should be wore /or should be attached (even if someone is not wearing new, a piece of new handkerchief is also fine) on this day; a belief relating Shoshtthi I guess.
It has been a trend over the years and thus 54/100 #100sareepact is a new pinch!!

54/100 is this year’s gift from Ma-Baba.
It is extremely special since it is a gift of love and blessings.
To add, this becomes more memorable for my wardrobe since this specific saree will always emote my emotional bonding despite all odds with Ma-Baba in this Durgostsav of 2015!

The 50:50 designed hand-loom saree is a combination of bright yellow and B/W rose block prints.
The saree itself has a ‘happy’ mood with the vibrant colours and blooming roses.
The design looks like a painting; as if black roses bloom in the yellow fields…. 😉
For a complete look, my silver Rose jewelry took up the charge and finished it in style!

These ‘not so’ rosy or pinky roses (since Roses are Black in the print), reminds me of a historical novel, ‘The Black Tulip’ written by Alexandre Dumas.
Basically I wanted to compare this with the novel to express how important this gift is to me, which will be treasured throughout my life.
Even the prints of Black roses reflect how rare these emotions are between us.
Thanks a ton Ma, Baba for this wonderful saree.

Dear friends, just check out how I pose and portray the look of 54/100 #100sareepact moment and add y my #PujoSaree series…. 😉
