And so it was that for #4 on the pact I picked this beige and red kota, with my all time favourite paisley print. The paisleys on the saree are not prints actually but a kind of shadow work embroidery, which makes the saree different and beautiful. The pallu and the border for the saree is a mix of black, white and red geometric patterns, once again my favourite in terms of colour combinations  Incidentally, I have another kota in exactly this geometric print and combination as the one on this pallu. And you will see that too sometime in future on the pact!
This particular saree is a gift from my cousin sister on the occasion of her son’s wedding. She handpicked this saree for me knowing my paisley addiction, and also as she felt this was appropriate work wear and would not stay locked up in my wardrobe! Just to ensure I had no excuse to not wear it, she also thoughtfully got the “fall – peco” done before she gave it to me. Thank you so much Lata tai, for this gift of love.
I draped this beautiful saree to work today, and the picture here is taken as I was delivering a pep talk to a small group of contestants in a technical writing competition. I liked this pic as it adequately showcased what I thought are the two best features of this saree – my fav color combo in the pallu, and the paisleys 
