Collecting and wearing sarees was always one of my passions. Of late, it has come down to wearing it only on formal occasions. I began wearing sarees at a very early age, wearing it to college and then when I was teaching. Loved to match my sarees with glass bangles and appropriate jewelery, loving the dressed up look. As time went on sarees gave way to Salwar/Kameez, skirts and then western wear … But the passion to collect beautiful sarees did not wane. Sadly they are all hanging in my wardrobe to be worn only on occasions like weddings.
#100sareepact is such a great idea for all of us saree lovers to bring out these beauties to be draped, enjoyed and cherished!
#1sareepact is a Kasavu, a typical Kerala Saree. Bought on a stop over visit to Cochin on our way back from Munnar. Love the feel of the fine soft cotton with delicate dull gold border. Had a delicious Sadya meal at my friend Lata’s home today!
