It was an impulsive decision to go for a long drive through National Highway on a cloudy day.
Though it was in mind, monsoon is knocking, still took the chance!
After lunch, while returning back home, was lucky to witness the nature’s amazing activities.

On a highway drive normally, I dislike to switch on synthetic air conditioning … but suddenly after feeling the cool breeze, with small droplets touching my cheeks, I pulled up the glasses.
The sky changed the colours within minutes and started painting its canvas with all the shades of grey.
The green trees on both the side of the road created a natural contrast to the driveway…

Immediately I visualized 29/100 drape of my saree series…
Reaching home I started searching this specific piece.

29/100 moment was my effort to portray the cloudy sky and greenery through my drape…
I simply could not remember when was the last time I wore this saree… it should be 12 years back easily!
But wearing this specific saree, on this occasion I felt it was destined to be draped for #100sareepact connecting the grey & green monsoon memories…

This is a slate coloured /shades of grey based taant which has double layers of threads that portray shiny finish. The border is in green with light zaree work! The obvious choice of jewellery was silver , an apt combination for this saree.

Though the highway sky never got created again but through my office glass- wall I tried connecting the memory of the grey-green path of the national highway …
And when the grey clouds of highway came as a topic, how far I can be from my evergreen Highway Man? ….
Till I return back with my next story let me be with my Highway Man in my dreams with Mr Noyes’ words …

“The wind was a torrent of darkness among the gusty trees……
And the highwayman came riding—
Riding—riding—
The highwayman came riding……” 🙂
