I have always worn a new saree for my wedding anniversary. This time I did not have one ready and was feeling quite restless about it. How my mother got a telepathic message, I don’t know. Just three days before she sent this saree which she bought from handloom expo. I don’t quite know the type but the texture is marvellous. It has a khadi touch to it with beautiful self weaves in the form of broad stripes. The peacock blue and turquoise green print gave me a joyous feel throughout the day. I loved the border as well. Thank you Amma! Not to forget my loyal ‘darzi’ who stitched the blouse in record time. More about him in some other post…
