Rajasthan and love for Leheriya
5/100 #100sareepact
This Saree was a gift to me by my husband’s chachi when I visited her the first time post my wedding.
I loved it the moment I saw it. A Marwadi girl’s love for Leheriya is just inherent. And it was a beautiful color. I have worn this Saree quite a lot many times, so much that its matching blouse doesn’t exist any longer. So I now wear it with a random blouse I got done before my wedding just because I loved the print and the colors of the fabric 😉
And cuz I decided to wear it at home today so no makeup for me today..
Wow, first came UK in 1960’s. Still have sari for which I made a fall by buying nylon material and making it into a fall. I made sari blouses from scratch, underskirts from scratch. None of these clothes were available or I did not know where to find them. It was my brothers wedding it was 1976 and boy we made trips to London to buy Indian jewellery in Ealing rd,Wembley.
