We (about 20 Indian ladies whose kids are in the same school) went out for lunch today.
Could not have missed draping a saree in honour of the saree pact.
Not sure about the type of the weave of this saree, it is silky material with embroidery work on it.
About four years back, I requested one dear (school) friend to buy saree for me, whenever she would shop for herself next. All her sarees are so beautiful, I knew when she selects for me, it would be the best:-)
She lives in another country. We met for couple of hours, we were at the railway station of the town we grew up. She was not sure about my choice, she showed me four sarees and asked me to pick one, and remaining were for herself. I looked at all of them in 5-7 minutes and spontaneously told her, I was taking them all, she should go shopping for herself again. Her husband was present there, but not mine. He is one most witty person I have met so far! He laughingly picked up his phone to inform the other gentleman that his wife was looting his bank at that moment. When saree lovers meet, no plans work
