It feels like first milestone achieved on Day 10 of #100sareepact! Today when I opened my wardrobe, the thought that hit me hard was that I had no saree to wear! Kidding! There were a few but I was unable to decide. Hidden in the pile was this one that was last worn over a year back. This saree was given to my MIL by my Mum and was a part of the bag/suitcase called ‘saas ka baksa’. During weddings bride’s mother gives a bag of new clothes to bride’s would be MIL. These clothes could then be worn to the person gifted or could be passed on. My mum did a mix of salwar suits and sarees and my MIL being in Haryana couldn’t pass the sarees on to anybody. She doesn’t wear sarees and almost everyone there wears those patiala salwar suits. Two years back during a visit, I asked my MIL to give it to me. I saw no point in seeing this packed and locked!! To me it’s my mum’s choice and good office wear. Teaming it with pearls 🙂
