Sept 2003 – My then to-be-MIL ( Asha Hattangadi) and I were walking down sampige road in malleshwaram and she was telling about the 5 sarees that she was going to gift me as part of ritual from the groom’s side and of which one had to be white and one black. As we were discussing this, my eyes fell on this gorgeous white saree displayed in the wooden showcase of a quaint little ancient saree store in Malleshwaram and I totally fell head over heels for it.
She was happy that we had initiated the process of wedding prep with the purchase of this saree and I was happy that I had spent good amount of quality time with her for the very first time and had done wedding shopping too, just the two of us, without any mediators (read Amit HattangadiPreeti Hattangadi-Gandhi or even Kavita Walavalkar) That was our first bonding time together.  Cherish it till date

Wore this saree yesterday, the day after I returned from the spiritual tour, my mind was fresh and was seeking for something as pure to wear. I automatically reached out to this saree.  And as I returned, I had to catch up with my buds too, been missing them way too long. So met up with Nidhi and Neeta for some quick gupshup and prasad distribution. I wonder what would I do without the loving and doting friends and family around me  I thank God for everything, everyday.
