Going into a series of meetings, so for those who like my saree chronicles I will be able to share some pix and stories. This is also one of my printed silks. It’s light, easy to wear and drapes and falls beautifully. My mum used to call these sarees Kashmirii silks and also used to love them. We used to share these sarees though some were more of her favourites and some were more of mine but this one was one of our common favourites. It’s unusual because the design is square based, different sizes of squares are fused together and each square has either geometric or floral designs within it a play of cream, cloud grey, apricot and terracotta. The borders are small and terracotta and the pallu is also terracotta with giant paisleys on them!
