A day spent with Grace, the most adorable little girl ever! And I chose this mehendi green Bandhej on silk with gold zari on the border and the zari woven in as Gharchola through the body of the saree. This is a weird saree because while it has Gharchola, the bandhej is in the Rajasthani style, and not Gujarati.
This is one of the few sarees that I bought for myself in from Motidoongari Road, Jaipur, almost 8 years ago and it was love at first sight.
This is a tedious saree though, because despite regular charak, it still hasn’t flattened out completely, and always looks poofy, and is a difficult one to drape because the poof reduces the width and the give to work with, while draping. Also, it rides up because of the same poof, making it a petticoat show and tell tongue emoticon
Earrings, a simple gold and stone necklace on a chain and simple gold plated earrings.
