a pure cotton saree in white with pink peacock prints all over and pink temples on a pink n light golden satin-feel border..what is unusual about the saree is that it has a separately stitched pink pallu with bootis in self colour..n d blouse matches d pallu too..today i preferred to keep d look as simple as possible n so chose to wear a pair of pink n golden beads earrings and a big pink bindi..

The pinks in d saree reminded me of my childhood days, especially of the candy floss i used to sooooo droool over..winter holidays in Bengal would be filled with a variety of back-to-back fairs n ‘melas’..handicraft melas, lexpos, book fairs..themes of d fairs would change but certain things were common to all of them..n one such thing was candy floss.. i sooo luvd d sweet smell of it n would definitely have a pink one..when d candyman used to roll the floss around a wooden stick (the handle) i used to stand there watching totally mesmerized..d funniest part was how a sticky pink residue of d floss would spot our cheeks..its been a really long time since i had one but dat old taste still lingers in my mouth..these days i hardly get time to go to such fairs n so i really miss having my favourite strawberry flavoured candy floss..today was one such day when i was left craving for it!

Weather playing spoilsport these days, i am left with no choice but to use home or college spaces as backdrops for my photo sessions..i apologize for d monotonous pics..but i promise to use better n butiful backgrounds as soon as i get d chance to!
