Blue blue blue all d way!..was invited to d ‘shaadh’ ceremony (baby shower) of my dear sis.. since it was a lunch invite, i was looking for some soothing daywear..n this cool saree was my choice for d day..i even found a mint blue bag to go with it!!

Its a chiffon saree with a very thin matte gold border..half of it is in solid feroza/turquoise blue colour with matte gold sequins n the other half has blue pen kalamkari print on offwhite..an unusual contrast..this one was also picked up by mom Aparna Bose n aunt Sriparna Ray from Nalli, Chennai recently..
There’s a big big difference in seeing a whatsapp image of a saree n actually seeing n feeling it in your hands..so even though i had seen its image on my mobile screen beforehand, i was overwhelmed when i actually got to touch it..such soft fabric, such butiful colour..such a beauty!

When i laid eyes on this saree i was almost immediately transported to my childhood days when i used to be a big fan of fairy tales n in awe of d princesses n their lovely dresses..fact is i never got over that phase n still continue to wish i were a princess right out of a fairy tale..
I am not really sure why..but today this saree just made me feel princess-ey.. when i draped it, d half-half design had d effect of a ball gown with sashes!..
must be sounding childish, i know..but i bet..every girl/woman has had in her life that one deep desire..of feeling n living like a princess!..n i must say today i felt like one
