It’s been very busy at work and hence no posts inspite of continuing with the pact and wearing sarees. These are sarees worn a few days ago during the Ganesh festival to haldi kumkum functions and hartalika puja. I would perform the hartalika puja as a young girl under guidance from my grand mother. It was done as a routine every year. Post marriage I was pleasantly surprised that my co-sister also performed the puja and therefore I could continue with it easily. Shilpa Laddha Bhabi is an enthusiast at heart and a great organiser of all events. With a big family we have events at the drop of a hat and she manages everything at home with barely anything outsourced. Being a very creative and innovative person, she makes everything she does, stand out wonderfully. A special mention to her here on the saree pact because she is a gold medallist in textile designing with in depth knowledge of all weaves!! The sarees both green – the bottle green a cotton saree with embroidery – a gift from my mother in law, which she got from Jaipur and the sea green, is a tussar silk with a fully woven pallu and embroidery all over, again a gift from my moushi, Nila Miraj.
