27/100 – Cotton sarees are a staple during festivals. You can finish chores all day, cook and run around in them and have no care for stains. I brought out my red kota saree for Laxmi pooja this year. I bought this in 2007 in Kanchanpur, during my first field trip with my colleague Junima who taught me how luggage on a trip end up having ‘baby’ bags when you shop too much. This was supposed to be a gift for mom but she added it into my wedding trousseau.
