16/100. While exploring my idea of getting a chikan saree made specially for Karwachauth, i came across a craftsmen in Lucknow who specialises in chikankari. I found his details over net, contacted him and being luck on my side, my younger sis gotten married in Lucknow early this year. She contacted him and saw his work. What an awesome craftsmen he is. Never see such intricate work of chikan with fine pearls, net etc. I did not want a regular chiffon or georgette saree then he showed his exclusive range which he does it only on orders. THis is it. I love silks a lot and the one we decide upon a red tussar silk with an overall pattern saree. I was waiting for my saree with a baited breath.

And when it reached it was all the worth waiting and efforts put in. This was a perfect wear for the festival of fast for all the married woman. I wanted to keep its richness alive, teamed it with dull golden blouse and then the icing on the cake was…my handmade necklace added all the charm to it.

So easy to drape and carry. Loved it completely. Sarees are forever.
