Saree #26

Malaysia celebrates all festivals based on the lunar calendar i.e. festivals of the Hindus and Muslims a day earlier than India. Hence, we had an off for Bakreid yesterday or as it is known as Hari Raya Haji in Malaysia. We decided to meet a family for lunch that we hadn’t seen in a long while and I used it as an excuse to wear another saree.

I don’t have much space in my wardrobe here to keep all sarees ironed and on hangers, I get a couple ironed every weekend from the laundry that I wish to wear during the week. That rule applies only to cottons and silks since chiffons & georgettes are easy to iron yourself. hence, I chose this light chiffon, another floral print from Meena Bazaar, Lucknow from the last trip home, which turned out to be a saree collecting trip!

I encoiraged my MIL to wear one too and she obliged me 🙂 We’re both looking for bahanas now to wear more sarees in KL. All the way to the restaurant, we kept think we’d be over dressed compared to the family we were meeting, but oh well! Had a fun mid week public holiday
