This one is a special post because it is for one extra special saree-My wedding saree:-) I have been brought up in a special way, with perhaps more love as I stayed with my grandparents and my mamas. Having had the privilege to do so, My nani narrated to me beautiful stories every night, mostly picked from Panchatantra, Jakata Tales, Amar Chitra Katha, which I read very profusely as well in my childhood. However it was more fun when she narrated it. She also narrated to me stories of Rajput Kings and Queens of how brave they were and a lot about their attire as well. She told me the importance of wearing yellow as a Rajput bride, however not everybody follows it today. I was very sure I would wear a traditional yellow saree for my wedding, so the hunt for the perfect saree began. I kept checking the stores in Bombay and could not find the one I wanted. It was my 2nd last day at work and I planned to visit the RCity mall @ Ghatkopar to bid farewell to my colleagues working there. I was usually taking my floor walks where I thought I ll check Jashn too. I entered the store and requested the salesman to show me a saree for my mom. We casually spoke and I told him I am getting married. He was like give me two minutes and he bought a yellow saree in front of me…The Saree that I wore for my wedding. It was simple yet the most beautiful saree that I had laid my eyes on. I did not much care for the price and immediately took it. It then hit me ,How did this guy know that I wanted a yellow saree..or perhaps i must be explicitly staring at all the yellow sarees or telepathy. This made me realize that what is meant for you will come your way and perhaps be one of the best things ever:) Have faith in the Good Lord above:)
