#100sareepact
62/100
Today’s Saree is dedicated to my fellow Leo Queen Pat who celebrated her birthday on the 28th , by donating it to #ChaiforCancer . Her 57th birthday and her goal for the day to touch 5700$ . A hundred for every year . Last year , on her birthday , Pat stood in downtown Seattle and gave hugs to well wishers and supporters in return for a donation towards the cause . That’s Pat .
The Adda was held at our (new) office in Seattle and my dear people forgive me if it is all about one more Adda , what to do , people are loving it and each one comes with its own special touch . To Pat then , a determined and visionary advocate and the team she leads . As you can see in the many pictures , the #100sareepact ‘s makes its presence felt in every Adda . My lovley sister Raji in a Saree gifted to her by Parvati our niece and my gorgeous colleagues Ann Kim Novakowski and Erin Schneider carrying off their favourites from my stash with such panache and elegance …and not to forget the guys Josué Blanco and Craig Anderson and Pablo Rivarola…ok no Saree but looking awesome enough right ?
And to dear Deveshi Halder and her friends who came all the way…….and to dear Erin Schwartz who has been my partner in crime in organising all the Chai for Cancer Addas in the U.S.
My Saree is a rather simple , a block printed Tussar whose colours and the stripes make it rather dramatic . The silk is lighter than my usual Tussars and falls well , is cool to wear . The blouse is one of my first ever purchases from Bijouri ( 2002 can you believe it? ) thank you Ranjona Banerji for bringing Bijouri into my life) and the earrings , from Amethyst in Madras and a treasured gift from Vyjayanthimala
