#31/100 This is 11 years old saree bought when one of my friend inaugurated her new boutique. Wore it only 3or 4 times in 11years. whenever I see this saree I always feel like what should I do with it because this is the saree which I don’t like very much……this is a majboori saree in other words …..sometimes you have to take something although nothing is of your choice…..same thing happened to me 11 years before in that inaugural function …this was the only simplest saree in the saree section so I picked this to pay the formality of buying something. It is a blue lagoon georgette saree with off white embroidery…
I know many uses of saree during my visit to Jaipur I saw that they people use every single piece of saree in making cushion covers ,wall pieces bed covers ,runners ,table cloths, puppets, beautiful pouches, mobile covers ,laptop covers, bags…..etc etc we can also take out the beautiful borders of our old sarees and use them in our new creations we can use our old sarees to style our homes like banarsi cushions covers ,making saree bags ,pillow covers fabric wall art ,quilts, throws, shoe bags, floor mats , chair seat covers scarf’s ,and at last we can use them as dusters and wipes …
In this way saree the Indian traditional dress is considered as most useful attire in the whole world……!! it is useful even after you feel you no longer need it…..so WE MUST FEEL PROUD ON THIS SIX YARDS WONDER AS OUR IDENTITY ……and that’s why we always feel proud to be an INDIAN…. We donate our sarees to our helping hands or less privileged , but if the saree is not in good condition don’t throw it make use of your creativity and enjoy your new creations and gift them to your love ones and add another feather in your cap…….A BIG SALUTE TO SAREE !!! on behalf of all my co saree pacters.
