This cool and light chiffon print worn on a cloudy and breezy day (I am falling in love with the Ranchi weather) for a family lunch outing yesterday is almost 12 years old and had been lying around unattended for years. Although it has a very sweet memory attached to it….
Soon after my marriage. ..hubby and I left for a short term course to Mhow which is a small town in MP close to Indore and is a delightful little one. Some of my best memories are attached to this quaint place. Most of us on this course were newlyweds and we shared a great bonding and made some good friends there.
On most weekends ….we would take our bikes and drive down to Indore which used to be “the destination” for us…be it for good food…malls…shopping…So on one of these trips we discovered a saree shop called Sanskriti ….since it was raining outside we went in just to while away time but ended up buying two sarees ….one in my favourite black and the other one was this…I liked it because it was simple and offbeat and unlike the sarees which are generally part of one’s wedding trousseau. So this must be one of the first sarees we bought as a couple and so the memory lingers….
This was also the first time ever that I heard the term ‘designer blouse’. Indore was a happening place like that. The salesman offered to get a ‘designer blouse’stitched for me and I was only too happy as our first Durga Poojo together was round the corner and I could wear this one then. Posing with my angels here as hubby was available for once to take the pics
