#5 Almost 2 decades old, crepe bagh print saree is from my birthplace Bhopal. I have grown up wearing bagh since childhood in various forms.

These bagh prints are traditional hand block prints from Madhya Pradesh, which are usually geometric and floral motifs. Derive its name from village, Bagh. Bagh Print in its current form were started in 60’s by Muslim Khatri artisan who came from Sindh. With them they brought the block printing technique, which is now the unique Bagh printing style. These geometrical and floral compositions are in predominant red and black colour. Red comes from Alum and Black from Corrosion of Iron.
Blouse is with crochet lace running on edges made by my mom on my insistence.
