#DelhiSareeChallenge

Wearing a Convent French Knots waali Georgette Saree to lunch at my Badi Mami Saas’ house. . Who has been a very progressive & suppprtive lady. . She had just come back from her Ladies get together … I didn’t let her change back into a salwar kameez….because of the “Saree Pic”.. 🙂

(Tip for all young girls who are about to get married or are just married. ..
”If you want to keep your mom in law happy. .then you must have and maintain very good relations with the mom in law’s maayke waalas..” …always….) “Saas ke peehar waale khush…. Toh Sasu- ma khush.” .. Toh.. ghar waale… Khush…

That’s what. . God made me do. . All of 30 years back. . Had just gotten married. . Met Vandana di.. Bade mamaji’s younger daughter, who was unmarried at that time…. And.. We ….instantly …hit off..

Didn’t have the right western wear for the Honey moon trip ( in those days. ..no one used to plan the “The Honeymoon suitcase “….. in advance.. like nowadays. . ).. Borrowed few clothes from Vandana di…still remember. ..after so many years…

When the daughter’s in law of my mom in law’s maternal house came …my bond with my mom in law’s maayka kept on becoming stronger n stronger…and because of us women… Our husbands ….though…they were… first cousins bonded even more…

Am very good friends with all my Mami Saas’s….

The youngest Mami Saas. . toh.. is almost my age 🙂 and a dear friend too..

Aise Rishton mein..Rishteydaron mein…hi friends dhoondh liye.. friends bana liye…

A girl from Mumbai who didn’t have any family/friends in Delhi, I made my mom in law’s maayke waalas.. my own maayke waalas ….
