The #100sareepact journey. We started on March 1st, this year, and there was no looking back. What started as a pact between Ally and I, became yours too. We were joined by so many of you and together we told the stories of our lives.

We set up the blog, Ally & I, because we thought it was important to archive the narrative emerging from the pact. The stories touched us all, we each learned from the other. We have all grown from March to now.

In four months, together, we have built a community of saree lovers and story tellers, that have delved deep into their past, their memories and their hearts and shared moments that have been utterly personal, but also very relatable.

June saw us reach the halfway mark and we also announced our 100th saree date. And with it comes a decision that we have been mulling over since the pact began.

Should we or shouldn’t we ?

But with every post we put up it was becoming more and more clear that while the blog was carrying all the stories that you cared to submit, we needed to commemorate the celebration of our saree stories with a book that would be the essence of the #100sareepact.

So here onwards, as we continue to show our sarees the love they deserve, until 21st December, we also keep a keen eye on submissions on the blog for our one hundred stories of the #100sareepact.

Keep writing in your saree stories, our research on the book has begun.
