my favourite saree in brick red and green
There is this shop in Tripunithura, cochin called Kiara. The shop is one small house converted, which sells handpicked sarees in cotton, silks and chiffons.. I love going to this homely shop, and have made friends with the lady who runs that place. I saw this beautiful kanchi cotton saree nicely folded and hidden in the shelf that hoarded the cotton sarees…a brick red saree with green boarder with green motif done in thread. Today being the 20th day in the pact, I picked up this favorite saree and matched it with a blouse made from the khun fabric of Maharashtra. This fabric has a slight sheen and comes in some typical colours, the blouses look really beautiful. I had some semiprecious stone neckpiece in green which I could match with some terracotta jhumkas… What I love about this pact is that, it helped me get my interest back in dressing up…just to feel good about myself, as I integrate into the pact..blend with many friends that I have formed thru the pack..
