So, today I broke a lot of stuck-ups I had with me and saree draping. I am really growing up.Thank you, 100 Sareepact.

First – I wore a cotton saree – Yes, as strange as it may seem, I don’t wear cottons. Always felt that it stood like a tent on me. With mom being at home these days and watching her cottons, I decided to give it a shot. This is her saree and who doesn’t have a green blouse.
Second – I ditched the heels and wore flats. With my height, I have not worn sarees without heels in the last 17 years. No matter what. I just couldn’t. Today I just had too much getting around to do, that I decided to just wear flats.
Both worked super fine…
So, about the saree, My aunt (mom’s older sister) used to work in a temple a while back. She used to cook the prasadam on important days. This was a wish-fulfilling temple near Chennai and a lot of devotees donated sarees to the deity. As temple practice, those sarees used to be given to married women, and this came to my mom. Now, I am contemplating if I should keep it, after all a higher power did maneuver me breaking my cotton saree block..
