Today’s post is dedicated to my most mischievous, most adorable, dotted four-legged fur babies. Because of them, the mother in me was born. They fill my life with immeasurable happiness, so what if they cannot speak in words like humans. They express their unconditional love for me thru every action, every glance, every head tilt, thru their eyes, the wag of their tails, their bark n whine and much more every minute and every second of every day. They do not understand the concept of ‘Mother’s Day’, for them every day is Mother’s day and I am their lucky mother.

Who said that one has to give birth to become a mother. Who said that you have to have to adopt a human child to become a mother. Motherhood is an emotion that cannot be described. The feelings evoked when you look at your baby taking their first step, having a meal or just sleeping peacefully, they define motherhood. The pain you feel when your child is sick or the void you feel when you lose a child. Nothing prepares you to be a mother. You just become one.

Evening time 6-7pm is playtime with the babies, followed by dinner and then a long walk. Today I decided to wear this lovely soft peach kanchi cotton which was a part of my trousseau. And Daddy (Prado) obliged us by taking these amazing portraits.

Introducing my heartbeats – From left to right… Muffin (my first born, the naughtiest n most pampered), Scooby (the youngest and most clumsy) and Dawn (the tiniest and most ferocious, the dare devil and fearless) with Moi in the middle. Also a special mention about Mac, my boy who passed away a year back, he was the best boy a mother could ever dream and wish for. May you rest in peace my sweet munchkin. A big hola to the other babies Ninja, Shine, Hazel, Mocha, Cinnamon, Sugar and Pearl. I know you dumplings are spreading love in your lovely homes.

Last but not the least, a salute to all mothers and motherhood.

Happy Mother’s Day <3
