Day 9

#100sareepact

We make many friends virtually but to get to meet them in person is delightful. Today is one such day. My work connects me to many people all across the globe but whenever I have had the opportunity to meet them I feel those are the best days. All thanks to social media platforms like Facebook. We connect because of them!!!

To go for a lunch meet of a secret group that I belong to & meet up friends with whom I have been interacting is the best part of today’s lunch. So what more. Today morning Chennai had a cloudy weather & I thought what better than to drape a Resham Silk Saree called Subornolata. It was called Subornolata by my dad because the Jamdani Weaved Design on it is weaved using Golden coloured Assam Muga Zari & lata also in Bengali meant creepers. Its feather light; though ofcourse transparent. Can I say a organza substitute. Organza is cotton wherein this is high Quality Silk. Resham Silk is such light weight silk that we can weave many motifs on the same.

Thanks to RuHH & Debarpita Sen for her lovely creation to match with this saree.
