#‎100sareepact‬ 28/100 This Saree is dedicated to my dearest and most beloved of all buddies Dr Jude Vaz . Jude and his lovely wife Anita celebrated their 25th Anniversary yesterday and all day I looked forward to meeting up with Venky and joining them at the Bombay Gymkhana where the gathering was organised . Jude is the perfect and ultimate gentleman , the King of Etiquette and Anita the most gracious of them all. (The fact that he lets me dunk my biscuits in my chai while with him shows how much Jude loves me and the extent to which that love will let me get away with stuff like that) The Bombay Gymkhana with its grandeur and understated elegance that evoked the unique charm of club life of past days was the most perfect setting for them ..So I chose a saree I wear very rarely . A cream chiffon encrusted with sequins that glint in the night like a million stars in a creamy sky and regal purple roses embroidered in the typical Parsee style . In fact the saree is so Parsee I could only wear pearls with it . And when Jude welcomed me saying I looked resplendent it was worth it all ..bringing the saree to work and getting ready there. Now I must confess that I have to share dear Jude with Venky and sometimes I wonder whose best buddy is he anyway – you should see the two of them ; such a royal riot when together and inseparable everywhere and well…it has to be that way right ? After all they do share a birthday . Two Taureans uffff!!! thank God they have Anita and me in their lives to keep an eye on them : )
