So this is my 25/100 on the ‪#‎100sareepact‬ and a very special Saree for a special occasion . Sangita and Barun are proud young parents and it is little Saanvika’s Annaprashon today and I have to be there . The little one is more precious than even life for the young parents had put their very lives at peril to have her . Fought every possible road block be it being off medication so the baby would be safe, to holding on to his job as an artisan in the diamond jewellery makers bazaar . No more than young children themselves, this young gutsy couple from Bengal have made this harsh and demanding city their home and oh so proud of themselves . Just so they can be near his treating oncologist . Hard working and cheerful taking their lot with grace and gumption .

The Saree is a simple silk / cotton mixed hand loom and I love the sun coloured border and Pallu that makes my skin glow . I chose this because it is simple enough at the same time will grace the occasion adequately . Changed at work and even caught the sunset before setting out to , hold your breath , Diwa which is even beyond Thane , my dear Sarathy doing the honours with my iPhone .And the Saree is a gift from one of the most awesome person in my family . Vatsala Maami . Vatsala Ramachandran My husband’s Aunt who I kind of appropriated very early in my marriage , This is the young mother of two who took me into her heart and under her protective wing when as a young and gauche bride all i could do was get into trouble with my in laws and do no right in their eyes , bless them . Haven’t we all gone through that !!? But in her home I was treated like a piece of Dresden China and cherished and cosseted . At 70 plus she is still the most caring and loving human being always a smile and cheerful hug for everyone despite her own cares and worries. I have so many happy memories of my early years of marriage being a beloved part of her family . Mama and Maami and their two wonderful children and their families who were and are still my best friends .
