I have lived in Luton, UK for the past 40+ years and our family have had a very strong connection with the Hindu Mandir for as many years. 7 years ago, a Hanuman Murti was sanctified in the name of Das Swaroop Hanumanji Maharaj and on the anniversary of this occasion, 108 Hanuman Chalisa prayers are recited. I have endeavoured to attend every year and in the past 4 years, I have managed to sit in one place, on the floor for the duration of the 108 Hanuman Chalisa. As it was Hanumandada’s special day, I try to wear an orange coloured saree and so there I am, saying my dedication prayer (Chalisa) on 18th April 2015 in my orange silk saree which I’d bought last year in Ahmedabad. I love the colour orange as it’s also prominent in my HR Consultancy Company logo, chosen for it being an auspicious colour in our Hindu religion. By the way, I love traditional silk sarees!
