“What’s in a saree?”, asked my little sisiter. I was amused by her question and answered, ” There is nothing in a saree. It’s just a unstitched piece of clothing . But what matters is the work that differs right from zardosi work to mirror work to Kundan work to cutwork to chikankari and many more acrross lengthand breadth of India. Every saree and work has it’s own aura that differentiates it fro the other be silk sarees of south or chanderi cotton of MP. And most importantly, it’s the way the saree clings to your body and make you feels sexy.”
This saree was a bought by my Mom during wedding shopping. As soon as i saw the saree, I was doubtful whether such a heavy saree would look good on me and confessed my apprehensions regarding the saree to her. She said amusingly in the same manner, I told my sister the saree story, “There is no woman on earth that would not look beautiful in that magical attire my princess” . I was still not sure. I wore this saree to my friend’s wedding by constant pestering from my hubby, And guess what, every body was so GaGa over it. And i just loved the whole attention. Thank you mommy for this beautiful saree and you are the on who told me what’s really in a saree…..Love you a lot…!!! #100sareepact
