I travel a lot on work & all the madness of the packing, unpacking n repacking n the fatigue has kept me from wearing more sarees n putting up pics.
But here’s something interesting I’d love to share. So, I’ve just moved to Bangalore from Chennai & I’m starting a new chapter in my life. I’m also putting in all my time n effort to keep my project alive. What started as a hobby has now become a brand — Tejas Saree like my name Tejashri.
And, guess what I brought along, to cheer me up if I got homesick?
Sarees of course. But for my cute lil house too
So I bought Chettinad Silk Cotton sarees n hand stitched them myself, for curtains. Simple n easy peasy maintenance. I’ve never let Amma discard her old sarees & I’ve converted them all into duppatas n salwar a n kurthas. But curtains are by far my favourite! I’ve done these for friends before & I surely wanted some for my new place. I picked neutral colours that I love n know will go with the decor.
And I reserved my favourite for my room. I haven’t been home long enough to finish it tho n all you can see is a faint pencil drawing on the wall
