Excuse me for that 90’s pose. It was DH having some fun at my expense and in the process got me late for an important day at school- the final PTM and the last thing we had to do before we break for summer. Any more delay, and I’d have been the first visitor to the Principals office this morning.

I was eagerly looking forward to today, not because it was the last day at school before the 40 days long summer vacations, but because I wanted to wear my first Byloom Saree and my first Paarisha. Both are brands whose works I have admired for the longest time but only recently had the courage to pick up, because I always wondered if I could carry them off. The beauty of both- the Saree and the neckpiece, is that I don’t have to make an effort to carry them off, they speak volumes themselves.

I visited the Byloom exhibition recently and picked this beautiful grey cotton Saree with contrast borders and a simple yet beautiful pallu and blouse. Having picked the Saree, I had to find equally beautiful accessories to go along with it and that’s when the Paarisha neckpiece happened. They both have an identity of their own and compliment each other well.

I love how this attire bought an air of power around it. Here’s to more shopping! And of course, loads of compliments followed. Happy me, yaaay!
