Embarassed
I am a new doctor ..just done with my mobs.
I have a fascination with sarees and decided to wear it to work. My colleagues made so much fun of me.They called me aunty and madam….I did feel out of place because our generation is used to jeans and kurtis .Need some support and courage to carry it off in the hospital.
I had a similar experience when I wore the saree to my place of work – the newsroom at a prominent national paper. My colleagues asked me,”What’s the occasion?” I had to tell them I love wearing the saree and I needed no occasion to wear it. But I have found that if you persevere, the looks and comments stop. Pretty soon, you in a saree are accepted as ‘normal’ – and your female colleagues may also start complimenting you on your saree and express the wish that they could wear one too. So, don’t quit, and enjoy your sarees.
Hello:)
I’m a young doctor too.
Considering wearing a saree to work one day.
I’m glad you decided to wear one to the hospital.
A saree always gives us a sense of grace and unmatched confidence .
This will definitely boost your days and your patient interactions.
Good Luck for everything!
Much love.
