#72 was purchased thanks to a very persistent salesman at an exhibition. At that time this saree was a very expensive one for me and definitely not something I could afford to buy “just like that”. But the Salesman sold me the stories of how sarees become heirlooms and have an investment value and more than that something my daughter would cherish when she grew up (and he didn’t even know I had a daughter :-))

And turns out I never regretted that decision. This saree has been a favorite in my wardrobe, like a comfort wear that I turn to everytime I need something dressy but soothing. So this silk beauty is a traditional bandhani in pista green and rani pink. The twist in this tie and dye story is its non typical benarasi pallu and border, that lend it a different and glam touch.

Draped today for a busy day at work, as we have our Diwali celebrations in the office today. Paired with my fav neckpiece and earrings in matching green and rani.
