Weddings are always fun. It gets better when a first cousin gets hitched. This being a special occasion, I knew I had to something special. After much deliberation, I decided to go the saree route for the cocktail party.

The saree I designed is a fusion saree where one half features a simple yet light-weight Chiffon in a bright festive yellow aptly complimented by brocade border in a rani pink and green silk trims. The skirt portion of the saree features a green kancheepuram silk with heavy zari woven in. Since I was going to wear this saree to a cocktail party I wanted a unique blouse that is smart and youthful. Playing with gold and zippers, the blouse added to the grandeur. Who ever says you can’t dance and have fun in a saree? Cuz we painted the town red dancing all night!
