As I rushed to work in the morning, wearing a saree – I definitely try to wear a saree to work often, the maid who cleans our society premises stopped me, and complimented me saying that she thinks I looked nice in a saree! She said she felt really nice about it! It made my day and inspite of the mad rush, I stopped and spoke to her, thanked her. She then handed over a packet of groundnuts to me, saying that they were from her farm and she felt like sharing them with me and my family. She is a perpetual member of the saree pact I would say, always draped in nine yards!! The saree is a printed Italian silk bought many years ago in Bangalore, on my way back from Balaji Darshan at Tirupati.
