I have always loved seeing women in villages drape the comfortable Induri weave matched with typical khun blouses. The bright colors, simple pallu and rudraksh style border prints lend a very homely feeling to this Maharashtrian weave. Considered a humble drape, unfortunately this is not a very popular saree today.

#26 has been a gift from the hubby’s atya, on the occasion of her daughter’s wedding and I have worn it many times since. I picked this traditional red Induri for my Diwali wear as the color always makes me feel very festive. Paired it with an apt golden blouse, in the spirit of Diwali 🙂
