31/100 May the good within us win over all evils , happiness, peace & harmony prevail all around us. On the occasion of Vijayadashami memories of childhood are flashing back when living in Delhi we use to go to the Ramlila grounds to see the effigies of Ravana, Kumbhakarna and Meghnad being burned by God Ram and Laxman. Those days Winters would start setting in by October , so would come the season for roasted mungphali in small paper cones and ghazak to be relished while watching Ramlila for nine days.Since we have shifted to Maharashtra many years ago here on dashera day we do Pooja of work place machinery and vehicles and wish elders & seek their blessings by offering them apta leaves .Apta tree holds a huge significance amongst the Local people. It is worshipped and the leaves of Apta tree are exchanged as symbol of gold . It signifies good wishes and prosperous future for them. This is an ancient custom which started from the time of Raghuraja. He was one of the ancestors of Kubera and Rama.
So we have started following the same ritual. Today’s saree story in place where I belong my karm kshetra in my restaurant’s kitchen ,bakery and central kitchen doing Pooja of all the ovens ,impingers ,gas burner and machines with a feeling of gratitude. My work stand at par to my first love & priority my family, try to give 100% of my time and energy. Wearing new addition to my treasure chest of sarees it’s organic dyed cotton ,matched it with a khun blouse very local of Maharashtra. Loved the combination of stripes and colour full of warmth for winter just the right kind when you can feel days are becoming shorter ,it starts getting dark at evening six. With this pact adding knowledge about our weaves and some beautiful saree houses too this one is taniyar from fatherland . ‪
