65/100
Sometimes or maybe many a times, after picking up something and bringing it home…I realise that this is not what I wanted or was looking for. It happens with all of us perhaps some time or the other! This was one saree which after I brought home with me…I was not quite happy with myself. It was bought hastily while picking up a few more for someone’s wedding in the family. It is a pure silk with a beige base with big bold roses printed in blue. The sides of the flowers and leaves are enhanced with running stitches as also the pallu. Sequins in gold are scattered intermittently. I was unsure of it because the pattern looked big and bold for my taste. So after sitting quietly in my cupboard for a while, I gave it to my mom. She wore it for a family function once and everyone around had nice things to say about it. This is when it found its way back into my wardrobe. Mistake or not…when you have to wear a 100 it has to be a mix of ultra gorgeous, gorgeous, flamboyant, graceful, quirky, bold, simple et all. Isn’t it ?
