9/100 ‪#‎100sareepact‬ : Today on this special day of Rakshabandhan wishing all my Brothers & Bhabis happy, healthy, peaceful& long life. Though mostly am physically not present to tie this auspicious thread on their wrists. But in hearts am always there. Last year I planned a surprise visit on Rakhi day but couldn’t do this year as just had few months of long holiday. So no more bunking from work. Today wanted to wear saree which is very special as my brothers are. Draped this beautiful bhagalpuri silk which has a unique combination of resham , zari in the hues of gold n silver and lovely combination of fuchsia pink with off white. Story goes many years back in 1982 was newly married and this was the first purchase by myself and paid by my mantastic husband. We were living in our construction camps, a small village name shingnapur, not the one famous for shani temple. Thinking about those days Life was easy, not a problem living in make shift rooms, had a kitchen dining and living in 150sq ft. Now a days it is called studio apartment. And a town near to shingnapur 20kms is parbhani famous for its agriculture university. Often use to go there for our daily needs and shopping. While roaming in the streets I found this shop and went in found some interesting hakoba material and this saree. I picked up for the colour combination. Price of this beauty was rs ***/- hummm isn’t it was worth. Now whenever I open my treasure chest of sarees I see a story hidden in them somewhere in butis and borders. Thank you Anju Maudgal Kadam and Ally Matthan for this beautiful experience. Special thanks to my Shivani Kapoor for encouraging me to join the pact
