8/100 ‪ wearing this cotton handloom saree which is one of the very few cottons in my treasure chest of sarees. I remember buying this and one more from a bangali babu who was selling sarees in the street knocking on the door, when we use to live in chandigarh in 1986.I think being punjabi was the one reason not to buy many cotton sarees, i always thought only marwadi ladies can wear cotton saree with grace, specially me being a true mota tazza punjabi. Don’t know why I never parted with this one whenever use to give away sarees to my house helps or any one who would wear them. Sitting besides Raman on way to office wearing this green handloom soft cotton ,was thinking how difficult it is to be in saree at work but when reached my workplace saw all my female staff in sarees working so comfortably in my restaurant’s back kitchen. Working full day and so comfortably. Thought of clicking one picture with them, and sharing. So basically we make excuses for ourselves. For lunch am meeting a bunch of beautiful friends and to support our saree pact they all wearing sarees. And how lovely they all looked in maheshwari, mangalgiri, banarasi cottons, gajji silk bandehj , and chiffons. Oh what a colourful group it was full of giggles and laughter. Dedicated to women love you all.
