I have to talk to my parents every day, either I call them or they call me but talking to them is a must.
When I called my mother yesterday she said, “Tomorrow is Vata Savithri habba and reminded me to give haldi kumkum along with mangoes which is considered very auspicious.
We came to this beautiful island, THE KINGDOM OF BAHRAIN in the year 1995.
One of our common friend introduced us to this lovely couple Mr. Yoga & Satya Yoga .
Here, I’m introducing my FIRST FRIEND in Bahrain and she has remained my BEST BUDDY even to this day.
They say, “Opposites attract” and that’s what it is between us, I guess!
We both share a lot of things similar but having said that we both have our own different ways of seeing things. Yet, with all the similarities / differences in tastes we have remained very close to each other.
She is known to everyone as Satya but I call her by her full name Satyavathi. We both have shared some beautiful, happy, sad, anxious, fun moments together along with some secrets too!
We may not talk every day but when we catch up we hit it off instantly!
Some time back, when she came to stay with me for a night as my husband was out of town, you won’t believe if I say this, we both have talked non stop … and forgot to sleep!
Well, being my best friend for 20 years now, I bet our friendship will take us through our old age too? Now, coming to talk about the saree am wearing, this kanjeevatam is a gift from my sister Usha for her house warming.
Thank you Satyavathi for giving me company by wearing a lovely silk saree with beautiful embroidery work on it.
Today’s festival ended well with friendship in tow!
