5/100 You have to take ownership of mistakes made and share with other so that things don’t get repeated and thus pioneering a lessons learnt culture. Similarly, if you have done something that worked well in your line of work, it is equally important to share with others; not because you want to hear the words of praise but because you feel this should be the fate of all the good ways of working.
I had such a day when I had to share the lessons learnt in delivering a close-to-heart project (I called it my baby) at work and that day I chose to wear her. She is a pleasant ‘ideal to wear at work’ bengali handloom cotton, my sister-in-law gifted me in my baby shower along with other goodies. I teamed it with a typical dark coloured Fabindia blouse to create a contrast. Yeah, I know I could have matched it better with another brighter blouse, but trust me, I had butterfly feelings in my tummy due to the presentation which had to be catered to a larger group of audience than usual. However that day, apart from the blouse, the other mess-up I did was to speak a lot! A lot as in lot! But trust me I could have spoken more about this baby of mine …it’s that dear to me even after 4 year long saga culminated…
