First the most special and important part of the story…
‪#‎HelpNEPAL‬ please.. I tried posting pamphlets from Goonj (Rahat Campaign) and other messages in my wall but to my surprise those didn’t soar in popularity. So thought to add couple of pictures in saree and with my lo which may get some most wanted attention to the cause and we get to help people in despair. There are many initiatives in India and we can contribute money or essential things including good quality tarpaulins or tents, dry ration, solar lamps, basic medicines, ropes, cooking & basic utensils, torch & batteries, blankets, sanitary pads, basic toiletries, working mobile handsets, etc. TOI in collaboration with FabIndia, Indigo airlines and Shree airlines are also reaching out to us for aid. Lets do our bit! Help our neighbors in these ways even though we can’t volunteer to be there. There are many ways, choose yours… ‪#‎IDidMyPart‬

Now the saree…. She is an Andhra cotton that I picked up from an inconspicuously located Andhra emporium, chanced upon while shopping in Jayanagar BDA Complex, Bangalore. This store has beautiful sarees of all types and material and the best part is its always running on discount. I bought her for <Rs.600.
Now about wearing her…I waited for almost 8 months to wear this humble cotton saree as I was unable to match the right blouse and finally grabbed this crop top from AND. Somehow felt it would suit this saree and many others too. I wore her to work on a regular work day. Inspiration drawn from this pact and I guess there will be many more usual work days, in sarees, which otherwise I would have spent in western casuals/formals. And Babywearing also seems easy peasy in sarees now.

Thanks to Parama Ghosh for personifying sarees that she wears and I took that after you. Your love for sarees is immense and I will never match to that but will always admire
