MIL’s diwali present that I wore for the Laxmi pooja. another lovely woven silk with a zari border. I am not sure of the type of silk so if the ladies here can help me, I’d be very grateful.

Mansi, you look beautiful. This is a silk Gadwal – from Andhra Pradesh. If you notice the end from where you start tucking in the saree, you will see the border has the weave in cotton thread, not zari. So that it doesn’t chafe. ? these are some of the most elegant sarees ever. Hope this helped.
